On the night of May 26, 2019, 18-year-old Taevonne Latimer was tragically killed in Arcata, California. The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. near Foster Avenue and Alliance Road, where Latimer and his friends had arranged a marijuana sale through Snapchat. The transaction quickly turned violent when a fight broke out over the money and drugs.
