On August 8, 2023, at approximately 9:00 PM, Oakland police responded to reports of a shooting in the 500 block of 25th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 40-year-old Jerald Larnell Clark II suffering from gunshot wounds. Clark was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
