In the early hours of September 3, 2023, at approximately 2:11 a.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon near the intersection of Barbara Street and Dracaea Avenue in Moreno Valley, California. Upon arrival, they discovered two male victims lying on the street with apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Ruben Perez, 22, and Bryan Garcia, 21, both residents of Moreno Valley.
Tragically, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
While authorities were securing the crime scene, a third male victim arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment for gunshot injuries believed to have been sustained during the same incident. This individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was expected to survive.
