On July 22, 2014, Derek Hardy, aged 58, was found dead in his home in Moreno Valley, California. The tragic incident was part of a series of violent events that unfolded that day. Hardy's death was linked to a double homicide that also claimed the life of his mother-in-law, 74-year-old Wilma Patterson. The suspect, Alex Anderson, 34, was identified by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department as the perpetrator of both murders.
