On October 3, 2023, at approximately 3:52 a.m., Lodi police responded to reports of gunshots on South School Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 53-year-old Felix Makinano, an unhoused individual in the Lodi area, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to a local hospital, Makinano succumbed to his injuries.
