In the city of Springfield, Illinois, the life of PeeK Haynes, a 31-year-old man, was tragically cut short on the evening of Friday, March 6, 2026. He was the victim of a shooting that occurred near the intersection of South 13th Street and East Jackson Street. First responders arrived at the scene to find him with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to HSHS St. John's Hospital for medical attention.
