Erica Danielle Riley, a 37-year-old female from Elizabethtown, Kentucky, was fatally shot on the morning of August 19, 2024, in a parking lot outside the Hardin County Justice Center. She was at the courthouse for a scheduled hearing to seek a restraining order against her boyfriend, 46-year-old Christopher Elder.
