On October 9, 2023, the body of 35-year-old Jami Narvaez, a mother of five from Modesto, California, was discovered near a remote driveway on Mount Pleasant Road in unincorporated San Jose. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and her death was promptly classified as a homicide by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.
