On November 10, 2023, at approximately 6:20 p.m., 27-year-old security guard Francisco Alonzo was fatally shot inside a marijuana dispensary located in the 6600 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in the Hyde Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles. Upon arrival, Los Angeles Police Department officers found Alonzo suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Alonzo became involved in a dispute with the suspect, possibly during the commission of a robbery. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt and tan camouflage pants and was accompanied by two other Hispanic males.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the suspect remains at large.
