On June 10, 2023, 16-year-old Quincy Reese Jr., a standout basketball player and honor student at Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. near 74th Street and Western Avenue in South Los Angeles, where Quincy had attended a party with his teammates. As he left the event, an altercation ensued, leading to his fatal shooting.
