On January 24, 2024, at approximately 3:17 a.m., Anaheim Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of East Wakefield Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found 49-year-old Anaheim resident Marcy Aguilar collapsed on the porch of an apartment, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel transported Aguilar to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
