On May 13, 2024, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Chino Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Riverside Drive in Chino, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Timothy Matthews suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
