On August 25, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., a shooting occurred in North Sacramento along the 1500 block of Orlando Way, near El Camino Avenue and west of the I-80 Business Loop. Upon arrival, officers discovered Rodney Williams, 37, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
