On December 10, 2002, 24-year-old Albert Dawson and his brother Anthony were tragically shot and killed outside their grandmother's home in South Sacramento, California. The brothers had just returned from buying cigarettes for their grandmother when the shooting occurred around midnight. Twenty minutes after they arrived, gunshots rang out, and their grandmother heard the commotion.
Their sister, Rishema Brazil, rushed to the scene but found that it was too late—her brothers were lying under white sheets.
The double homicide remains unsolved to this day, with no witnesses coming forward to provide key details, leaving the family without answers for over two decades. Investigators initially considered the possibility that the crime might have been gang-related, though no concrete leads have emerged. Brazil continues to seek closure and hopes that someone with information about the case will eventually step forward to help bring justice for her brothers.
