Vanthoeun Som, aged 23, was murdered on November 12, 2011, outside a Sacramento nightclub. Som, a young father, was attacked with a machete, resulting in fatal injuries. During the incident, three of his friends were also stabbed, but they survived. The attack occurred in the parking lot near the intersection of 15th and K Streets in Sacramento.
