On November 3, 2024, at approximately 1:30 p.m., 22-year-old Dayshun Quemani Tylan Walker was fatally shot near the intersection of Kit Carson and Revere Streets in Sacramento's Upper Land Park neighborhood.
Responding to multiple reports of gunfire, officers from the Sacramento Police Department arrived at the scene to find Walker suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an extensive investigation, on December 10, 2024, authorities arrested 19-year-old Chezvon Paige in connection with Walker's death. Paige was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on homicide charges.
The Sacramento Police Department has not publicly disclosed a motive for the shooting or detailed the relationship between Walker and Paige.
