On the evening of October 22, 2024, Kendell Williams, a 36-year-old man experiencing homelessness, was fatally shot in Long Beach, California. At approximately 7:10 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of Alamitos Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Williams with gunshot wounds to his upper body. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Long Beach Fire Department personnel.
