On November 13, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Long Beach police officers responded to a call from the Long Beach Fire Department regarding a man found unresponsive inside a parked vehicle in the 2200 block of Spaulding Street, near Dawson Avenue. Upon arrival, authorities discovered 32-year-old Torrance resident Shane Perry Camu with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
