On June 3, 2022, Duwayane Thomas, a 24-year-old resident of Long Beach, California, was tragically killed in a gang-related shooting. The incident occurred around 10:55 p.m. near the intersection of 14th Street and Walnut Avenue. According to the Long Beach Police Department, three men approached Thomas and opened fire without provocation.
