On May 8, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., Long Beach Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of Atlantic Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Long Beach resident, Tyrone Parks III, with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Despite immediate medical assistance, Parks was pronounced dead at the scene.
