On September 14, 2022, the decomposing body of Deondre Washington, a 41-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was discovered inside a parked vehicle in Long Beach, California. The Long Beach Police Department responded to a report of a strong odor emanating from the vehicle, which was parked near E. Ocean Boulevard and Corona Avenue.
