On January 8, 2023, 18-year-old Taurus Tremain Oglesby Jr. was fatally shot during a robbery at a short-term rental townhouse on Douglas Avenue in East Nashville. The residence had been rented by a local woman to celebrate her 20th birthday, with approximately 20 attendees present.
