On April 23, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., a tragic incident occurred at Trap Up Studio, a hookah bar and lounge located on Hill Avenue in South Nashville. The establishment's DJ, 27-year-old David Bickham, was found deceased at the scene. Another individual, 26-year-old Tarrell Grant, sustained serious gunshot wounds and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
