On February 27, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred near the intersection of West Essex and Arkansas Street in Memphis, Tennessee, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Christopher M. Johnson. The incident took place around 9:40 a.m., when Memphis Police Department (MPD) officers responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered four male victims with gunshot wounds.
