In the early hours of Sunday, April 30, 2023, the life of Markheous Keshon Lloyd, a 25-year-old Black male from Humboldt, Tennessee, was tragically cut short. Officers from the Humboldt Police Department were dispatched to a location on Burrow Street at approximately 2:49 a.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Lloyd with gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services transported him to a local hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased. His body was subsequently sent to the West Tennessee Regional Forensic Center in Memphis for an autopsy. Known affectionately as 'BoBo,' Lloyd was remembered by loved ones as a caring and loving young man who was a devoted father, son, and brother. His obituary described him as having a big heart and an infectious smile, someone who was always the life of the party.
At the time of the initial reports, the Humboldt Police Department stated that the investigation into Lloyd's death was active and ongoing. They urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the department. However, in the time that has passed since the incident, no subsequent information regarding any arrests, identified suspects, or persons of interest has been made publicly available. The case remains an open investigation, leaving a community and a grieving family without answers as to who was responsible for the death of Markheous Keshon Lloyd.
