In the early evening of a summer day in Knoxville, Tennessee, the life of Emory Johnson, a 25-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at approximately 7:38 p.m., officers from the Knoxville Police Department responded to a call of a shooting on Center Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered Johnson suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite the immediate efforts of the officers to provide life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
