On June 7, 2023, at approximately 7:38 p.m., Knoxville Police Department (KPD) officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2400 block of Center Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Emory De'Ante Johnson suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
