On June 15, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Sequatchie, Tennessee, resulting in the deaths of 11-year-old Vanessa Nicole Perez, her mother Brittnee Patterson-Perez, her siblings Lilyana and Nicholas Perez, and her grandmother Regina Ann Patterson. The family was found deceased in their residence following a domestic dispute that escalated into a murder-suicide.
