On June 15, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Sequatchie, Tennessee, resulting in the deaths of six individuals, including 33-year-old Brittnee Nicole Perez. The event was a murder-suicide perpetrated by Brittnee's stepfather, 48-year-old Gary Don Barnett.
