On June 15, 2023, in Sequatchie, Tennessee, 52-year-old Regina Ann Patterson Barnett was tragically killed in a murder-suicide orchestrated by her estranged husband, Gary Barnett. The incident also claimed the lives of Regina's daughter, Brittnee Nicole Perez, aged 33, and Brittnee's three children: Vanessa Nicole Perez, 11; Lilyana Perez, 6; and Nicholas Jaden Perez, 2.
