On September 12, 2023, 38-year-old Shysti Renea Crum Mayberry was fatally shot in Heiskell, Tennessee. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Moores Gap Road, where Mayberry was traveling in a vehicle with 44-year-old Jason Dockery and her 21-month-old daughter. According to arrest warrants, Dockery pulled out a pistol and shot Mayberry while she was in the passenger seat.
