On January 8, 2020, Chaire Walker, a 35-year-old African American woman from Memphis, TN, was tragically shot and killed in Parkway Village. Walker, a mother of eight, was in her car with some of her children in the backseat when she was chased and shot by someone she knew. She had pulled over in front of a stranger's house, screaming for help, but unfortunately, she did not survive.
