On December 3, 2023, 34-year-old Bryan Thompson was involved in a fatal shooting at the Kwik Sak gas station located in the 4100 block of Clarksville Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident began when Thompson confronted 16-year-old Thomas Battle, who had arrived at the gas station in a vehicle reported stolen from Thompson's brother.
