On the night of April 26, 2024, the life of 54-year-old Corey D. Baerns, a White male, was tragically cut short at his home on Pryor Road in Maryville, Tennessee. Blount County Sheriff's deputies were called to the residence around 10:30 PM, where they discovered Baerns outside with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate efforts to render aid and rush him to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
