On May 15, 2024, in Bon Aqua, Tennessee, 64-year-old Clair J. Parish Sr. was fatally shot during an incident on Wayne Road. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) reported that the event began with an altercation involving a juvenile, a young adult male, and the homeowner, 70-year-old Danny Edward Pewitt. During this confrontation, Parish, a passing motorist, was flagged down and stopped at the scene.
