In the spring of 2024, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of a young father in Memphis, Tennessee. On the evening of May 15, 24-year-old Cameron Newby was engaged in a mundane household chore, taking out the trash in the Hollywood neighborhood, when his life was abruptly ended. In a sudden burst of gunfire from a passing vehicle, Newby was fatally wounded, leaving behind a family to grapple with the shocking and tragic loss.
