Forrest ‘Tre’ Johnson III, a 21-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Wednesday, June 5, 2024, in Jackson, Tennessee. The incident occurred in the 100 block of North Cumberland Street. Officers from the Jackson Police Department responded to reports of the shooting and upon arrival, discovered Johnson with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Further details were released by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, June 10, 2024, formally identifying the individual arrested as 20-year-old Antrim Johnson.
Antrim Johnson has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Forrest Johnson III. Following his arrest, he was booked into the Madison County Jail. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing.
