On November 6, 2024, Memphis musician Blake Sale Rhea, aged 48, was fatally shot outside Louis Connolly’s Bar in the Midtown district of Memphis, Tennessee. Rhea, a well-known bassist who had recently toured with the band Southern Avenue, was involved in a verbal altercation inside the bar with 51-year-old Edward Wurl.
