Death by Force

On March 5, 2023, at approximately 4:14 a.m., Philadelphia Police responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the 2500 block of North Franklin Street in the city's Hartranft neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered 22-year-old Shemar Jordan Berryman slumped on the front steps of a residence, suffering from eight gunshot wounds to his head, neck, and chest. Emergency medical personnel transported Berryman to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:54 a.m.
