In the evening hours of a late September day, tragedy struck on the 1800 block of East Somerset Street in Philadelphia. Johnny Rodriguez, a 24-year-old Hispanic male, was on the street when gunfire erupted at approximately 7:29 p.m. on September 29, 2023. Responding Philadelphia Police officers discovered Rodriguez at the scene, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
