On April 15, 2023, at approximately 2:33 a.m., East Vincent Township Police Department (EVTPD) officers responded to a reported shooting at the Park Springs Apartment Community in East Vincent Township, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, they discovered William Stafford, 33, of Spring City, lying in the road near a white Ford Taurus, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced Stafford deceased at the scene.
Surveillance footage from the apartment complex captured the incident. The video shows Stafford arriving in the passenger seat of the Ford Taurus, with the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Quinzell Chucky Mickey, driving. After parking, both men exited the vehicle. Mickey briefly re-entered the car before emerging again and shooting Stafford as he stood beside the vehicle. After Stafford fell, Mickey stood over him and fired two additional shots. The footage also shows Mickey searching Stafford's body, removing items, and then fleeing the scene on foot.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Mickey, charging him with first-degree murder, robbery, and related offenses. He is considered armed and dangerous. As of the latest available information, law enforcement agencies are actively seeking his whereabouts. The Chester County District Attorney's Office and East Vincent Township Police Department urge anyone with information to contact them immediately.
