On January 24, 2021, Shubham Deepak Kulkarni, a 14-year-old Indian-American boy, tragically lost his life in an incident that authorities have classified as a murder-suicide. Shubham was found dead along with his parents, Deepak Prabakhar Kulkarni, 50, and Arti Madhusudan Ayda, 47, and his younger brother, Sharvil Deepak Kulkarni, 8, in their home on Mountain View Drive in West Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania.
