On June 11, 2023, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a residence on Route 35 South in Tuscarora Township, Juniata County, where they discovered the bodies of 78-year-old Gloria B. Hardy and 90-year-old John S. Burdge. The incident is being investigated as a double homicide.
