On the evening of June 26, 2023, 24-year-old Earl Jordan was fatally shot in Pittsburgh's East Hills neighborhood. At approximately 9 p.m., Pittsburgh police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire in the 2200 block of Wilner Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered Jordan with a gunshot wound to the neck. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
