On the warm summer night of July 17, 2023, the lights of the PNP Gas Station on Front Street and Hunting Park Avenue in North Philadelphia cast a glow on a gathering of about 15 people. Suddenly, the ordinary evening was shattered by a shocking act of violence. A white sedan, moving with grim purpose, approached the station. From within the vehicle, an unidentified assailant unleashed a hail of nearly 30 bullets into the crowd.
