On a warm spring evening in Philadelphia, the life of 29-year-old Delfon Cain was tragically cut short. On Monday, May 18, 2020, at approximately 9:49 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting on the 1100 block of East Stafford Street in the East Germantown neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered Delfon lying unresponsive in the street, having sustained a gunshot wound to his head.
Emergency responders rushed him to Albert Einstein Medical Center, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
Delfon, a resident of East Price Street, was a man with a bright future and a loving family. A two-time college graduate, he was known for his strong work ethic, holding down two jobs to support his three young sons, all of whom were under the age of four at the time of his death. Those who knew him described him as a devoted family man who enjoyed sports and had a knack for telling jokes. He was also said to have excelled in mathematics.
Despite the years that have passed since his death, Delfon Cain’s murder remains unsolved.
