Albert Anthony Valentino, a 37-year-old male police officer of Italian-American ethnicity, tragically died on October 23, 1989, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Officer Valentino was responding to a radio call for a disturbance on the 7000 block of Frankford Avenue when he encountered a suspect. During the exchange of gunfire with the suspect, Officer Valentino was accidentally shot and killed by a fellow officer. The suspect involved in the shootout was also shot and killed.
