In the fall of 1989, a dedicated Philadelphia police officer, Albert Anthony Valentino, a 37-year-old male of Italian-American heritage, responded to a call that would tragically be his last. On the evening of October 23rd, a report of a disturbance on the 7000 block of Frankford Avenue prompted Officer Valentino and his colleagues to investigate. The situation quickly escalated when they encountered a suspect, leading to a volatile and dangerous shootout on the city street.
