On July 22, 2023, 21-year-old Jaquan Jamond Burrows was fatally shot in Erie, Pennsylvania. His body remained undiscovered for nearly two weeks until family members found him on August 2 behind an abandoned house near East 9th and Ash streets. Burrows had been reported missing on July 27, prompting his family to conduct their own search efforts.
