In the late hours of a November night in Erie, Pennsylvania, a dedicated officer's life was tragically cut short. Detective Sergeant John T. Grant, a 39-year-old man and an 11-year veteran of the Erie Police Department, was killed in the line of duty on November 22, 1912.
