In the late afternoon of August 14, 2023, a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia claimed the life of 37-year-old Ikea Welsh, a mother of five. The incident unfolded shortly after 5 p.m. on the 6200 block of Glenmore Avenue, not far from her home.
