On the evening of September 6, 2023, Reginald Hall, a 48-year-old resident of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot in his home located in the 1800 block of Flagler Street. Police responded to the scene around 10:15 p.m. and discovered Hall suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to UPMC McKeesport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Before succumbing to his injuries, Hall was able to provide McKeesport police with a description of his assailant. Acting on this information, Allegheny County detectives apprehended Jeffrey Robinson, 53, a short time later on Enterprise Street in McKeesport. Upon his arrest, officers noted that Robinson's shoes appeared to have blood on them, and a search revealed he was carrying a substantial amount of cash, some of which also seemed to be stained with blood.
Robinson was subsequently charged with criminal homicide and robbery in connection with Hall's death. He was detained in the Allegheny County Jail pending a preliminary arraignment.
